ABOUT US

Atelier Nic Gabriel is a workshop and physical exhibition space based in Crete, operating continuously since 1983. Each piece is individually handcrafted by the artist Nic Gabriel, inspired by the richness of ancient Greek history and artistic tradition. Visitors are invited to experience the creative process in real time—observing the evolution of each work from its initial form to its completed state, while gaining insight into the techniques, materials, and stories behind it.

Deeply influenced by ancient Greek art, particularly the decoration of vases and mural painting, the artist has devoted years to studying and mastering these forms. His work reflects this heritage while carrying a distinct personal signature, blending tradition with individual expression.

All artworks are signed, and production is intentionally non-repetitive, ensuring that every creation is unique. The collection is available exclusively at the permanent exhibition space in Agios Nicolaos Crete, which remains open throughout the year.

• Vases and figurines are made entirely of clay
• Wall paintings are created on wood using a fresco-inspired technique, often featuring embossed mural elementsEvery piece is entirely hand-painted by the artist from beginning to end

Atelier Gallery represents a commitment to originality, authenticity, and the living continuation of Greek artistic tradition.

• All items are hand-painted (freehand drawing) with indelible paint over time, and have been painted with an aging treatment (so that they look old).
• We undertake the maintenance of any item you have bought from us, no matter when you made the purchase. Do not hesitate to contact us!
• All materials used by Atelier Nic Gabriel, packaging materials, transport bags, wrapping papers, are eco-friendly and recyclable.
